Brad Klapper has advised foreign ministers, ambassadors, CEOs and global religious leaders on communications, strategy and geopolitical dynamics. As Managing Partner of the Qorvis Washington D.C. office, he is responsible for managing some of the world’s most significant international public policy issues. A consensus builder, he has played lead roles in forging institutional partnerships among governments, non-governmental bodies, and multilateral organizations.

Before joining Qorvis, Klapper was an award-winning writer and editor who worked for The Associated Press for 13 years, covering many of the biggest stories in world affairs and reporting from more than 70 countries. He served last as the AP’s national security editor in Washington, overseeing the newswire’s U.S. military, diplomacy and intelligence coverage.

Klapper was State Department correspondent during the tenures of Secretaries of State John Kerry and Hillary Clinton, focusing on the Middle East, nuclear nonproliferation, sanctions policy, U.S.-Russian tensions and the U.S.-China relationship. He came to Washington from Geneva, Switzerland, where he focused on global trade and economics.

Klapper has a B.A. in History from Haverford College in Pennsylvania, and a Masters of Advanced International Studies from the Diplomatic Academy in Vienna, Austria. He speaks French and German. He is a member of the U.N. Correspondents Association Hall of Fame and Diplomatic Academy of Vienna Alumni Hall of Fame.
